Base Pay: $62,000 to $78,000, DOE, plus benefits
This position will require both field and office work on diverse public and private projects. The Project Surveyor will be responsible for legal research and computations, boundary resolutions, preparing legal descriptions, platting, ALTA and design surveys, construction survey coordination and staking, and fieldwork quality control. The person chosen for this position will work closely with other surveyors and engineers on a wide variety of projects. Occasional overnight travel will be required.
To apply for this position, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience and must be registered as a Land Surveyor-In-Training. A Professional Land Surveyor registered in the State of Oregon or the ability to become registered in the State of Oregon is preferred. The candidate should have a platting background and experience with AutoCAD to create plats, design base maps, and generate digital terrain models. Familiarity with robotic instrumentation, automated data collection methods, and GPS equipment is required. Carlson and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and also work well within a project team under the direction of senior surveyors. Must be able to work in all types of inclement weather and be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and walk 2 to 4 miles during the work day. A valid driver’s license with no driving under the influence arrests is required.
