Base Pay: $50,000 to $58,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits
This position involves working on a team to plan and design a variety of utility, site development, water resources, and transportation projects. The Engineering Technician will assist other civil engineers in developing studies, reports, construction cost estimates, design drawings, and technical specifications for public agency and private infrastructure projects. Involvement in project permitting and construction engineering is also anticipated. Project sites will be located primarily in central and eastern Oregon and eastern Washington.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. The applicant must already have or be able to obtain Engineering Intern status in Oregon or Washington within one year of employment. Zero to four years of experience preferred with water and wastewater systems, streets, water resources, and stormwater systems. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to interact with design staff, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Familiarity with CAD and other modeling software is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
