AP employs a full-service team of natural resource and environmental professionals to assist in permitting and reporting. AP regularly works closely with state and federal agencies and has developed excellent relationships. Clients benefit from having AP on their team because they are already ahead in the permitting process before they event start. Our extensive experience with navigating the regulatory process helps our clients keep their projects on course. Our natural resources services include river and stream restoration; permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental reports; wetland delineation and mitigation planning; fisheries surveys and wildlife habitat evaluation; wildlife surveys, nest location, and monitoring; fish screens and biological assessments; and 401/404 permits and National Environmental Policy Act compliance assistance.

Cultural Resources Management and Compliance

AP now offers cultural resources management services to help clients execute projects while meeting federal and state requirements.  Our staff has extensive experience conducting archaeological investigations and preparing the necessary reports to meet the compliance regulations of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Washington SEPA, and Washington State Executive Order 05-05.  Our staff maintains an excellent working relationship with state historic preservation office, and Native American tribes throughout the Pacific Northwest and can help facilitate consultation by providing solutions to specific concerns.  At AP, we are committed to using practical, high quality, and cost-effectiveness analysis to balance state and federal requirements with project goals while protecting historic properties.  AP’s cultural resources management services include:

  • Archaeological inventory surveys and testing
  • Assessments and evaluations for National Register eligibility
  • Archaeological monitoring of construction activities
  • Laboratory processing, data analysis, and curation
  • Mitigation plans (data recovery, inadvertent discovery, monitoring, preservation)
