Construction - Case Study
The Oregon Department of Transportation hired AP for an Interstate-84 Pleasant Valley bridge replacement project. AP's responsibilities for this $15-million interstate bridge replacement project include contract administration, on-site review, quality monitoring, quantity documentation, and surveying verification.
Located near Pleasant Valley in Baker County, Oregon, the existing bridges (steel and concrete beams with concrete bridge decks) are being replaced with two new two-lane bridges (steel beams with concrete decks). Construction staging is necessary to provide public access through the construction zone for the duration of the project. Exit ramps and temporary detours are constructed to improve access to the project.
The project includes multiple shifts, night-time work, and careful traffic control. AP's construction administration helps keep this project on course in accordance with construction specifications.
