Position: Roadway Design Project Engineer
Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Position Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $65,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities

As a Roadway Design Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing roadway drawings and specifications that may be used by contractors or owners for construction improvements.  Projects may be for local/state governments or other privately held entities.  Responsibilities may include and are not limited to:  providing in-field technical assistance for construction, utilities coordination, subconsultant management and coordination, leading and coordinating project meetings, coordinating environmental permits and clearances, coordination with clients, coordination with contractors, preparing cost estimates, preparing quantities estimates, participation in public meetings, directing junior staff, and meeting the financial goals for both clients and the company. 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience developing roadway drawings and specifications.  A four-year engineering degree and the ability to obtain a Washington Engineer’s License within one year of employment are also required.  Candidates who enjoy long commutes to work, competitive or hostile work environments, or urban city living should not apply for this position.  Candidates who enjoy regular recreation time with family or friends, like to work in a positive team environment, want to spend more time reading the newspaper than driving to work, or desire quick access to millions of acres of National Forest are encouraged to apply.
