Position: Stream / Fish Passage Project Manager
Location: La Grande, Oregon
Position Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 per year plus benefits
Responsibilities
The stream / fish passage project manager will be responsible for planning and designing projects, developing work opportunities, scope of work documents, and agreements, writing proposals, coordinating staff resources and assignments, managing project budgets, leading project meetings with clients, and providing quality control oversight for multiple projects involving planning, design, and construction of fish passage and stream improvement projects.
It is our intent that this position will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, securing, and managing stream restoration / fish passage projects.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional experience in planning and design of stream restoration, stream improvement, and fish passage improvement projects and will have at least 2 years of experience being the manager on such projects. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity and experience with fluvial geomorphic analysis, riparian assessments, and watershed assessments. A degree in hydrology, fish biology, or engineering is required. The candidate must be comfortable with public speaking, directing staff, leading meetings, and working with agency personnel and contractors.
