Position: Staff Engineer
Location: La Grande, Oregon
Position Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $50,000 - $65,000 per year plus benefits

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for working with our senior project engineers to help develop studies, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents for construction of wastewater and/or water system improvements. Projects are often performed for local and state government clients or other publicly held entities.

Wastewater system design tasks may include, but are not limited to, performing work for projects involving collection systems, pumping systems, treatment, reuse, disposal design, lagoon treatment systems, mechanical treatment systems, and wetland treatment systems including construction engineering.

Water system design tasks may include, but are not limited to, transmission line design, water source design and development, pumping system design, piping design, treatment system design, and storage design including construction engineering.   

Additional responsibilities may include providing assistance to project managers in coordinating with subconsultants, leading and coordinating project meetings, coordinating environmental permits and clearances, coordinating with clients and contractors, preparing cost and quantities estimates, participating in public meetings, and meeting the financial goals of both our clients and the company.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of experience in wastewater-related or water-related work such as developing studies, reports, plans, specifications, and contract documents and be on a career path towards obtaining a Professional Engineer’s License.
