Leadership Change at Anderson-Perry
by Margaret McGladrey, Marketing Coordinator
After 33 years of service as an officer of the firm, Howard Perry has decided to retire as president in order to slow down and enjoy a more flexible work schedule. However, Howard will continue to work as a project manager and the anchor of AP’s client service and quality control procedures. The members of the AP Board of Directors and the firm’s shareholders are glad that Howard feels free to define the terms of his role in AP’s leadership team and continue contributing to the firm. Howard is one of the cornerstones upon which AP’s success has been built, and the firm cannot adequately express the high regard, appreciation, and respect that AP’s employees feel for Howard and his long, accomplished history as a key firm leader. “I am pleased with the firm’s leaders,” Howard said. “I have full confidence in their ability to lead and guide us for many years into the future.”
The Board of Directors handed the reins of the presidency over to Brad Baird, P.E., an engineer who has served on the Board of Directors and the AP management team for several years. A member of the firm’s staff for more than ten years, Brad is a native Eastern Oregonian and works with many of our clients throughout the region on water and wastewater infrastructure improvements projects. While Brad has wide-ranging knowledge of all aspects of project work, his particular areas of expertise are project planning and funding development, preparation of designs and contract documents, and coordination with state and federal agencies. “I’m excited about the opportunities and challenges presented by this change in AP’s leadership team,” Brad said. “Howard and I have an excellent working relationship, and I am very pleased that he will be available to work with us so we can continue to benefit from his knowledge and experience. I’m looking forward to achieving our firm’s goals of building steadfast partnerships and serving the needs of our clients.”
The Board of Directors consists of Brad Baird, President; Alan Schroeder, Vice President; Robin Harris, Secretary-Treasurer; Brett Moore; and Jake Hollopeter.
